Adipose-derived stem cells (ADSC) are multipotent cells with a great capacity for self-renewal while maintaining their multi-potency. They are ideal for application in regenerative therapies. ADSCs can differentiate into specialized cells of the body such as osteocytes, adipocytes, neural cells, vascular endothelial cells, cardiomyocytes, pancreatic β-cells, and hepatocytes. Their easy accessibility, low immunogenicity and their ability to secrete trophic factors, cytokines and chemokines make them the favorable cell type for experimental and clinical use. ADSCs are also demonstrated to have proangiogenic, immunomodulatory, anti-apoptotic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-scarring effects. Many trials are underway to understand the potential of these cells to use for a wide range of clinical conditions including skeletal tissue repair, ischemic injuries, myocardial infarction, soft tissue regeneration and immune disorders such as lupus, arthritis, Crohn’s disease, multiple sclerosis, diabetes mellitus, and graft-versus-host disease.
These adipose-derived stem cells are isolated from young adult (18 month) male dog adipose tissue. The cells are cultured, passaged for purity, cryopreserved and delivered frozen. Each vial contains >1 x 106 cells in 1 ml volume. Cells are characterized by flow cytometry with antibodies to CD90, CD45, and CD34 and are negative for mycoplasma, yeast, fungi, and bacteria. Cells are assured to further culture using the protocol provided by JangoCell.
